About 70% of mental health concerns begin prior to the age of 18, and by 25, about 20% of people experience significant concerns with mental health. In many places, like Ontario, Canada, the vast majority of children and adolescents who need mental health supports (5 out of 6) will not receive the supports they need. Given this, Dr. Dan Zdzieborski’s purpose is to work with children, adolescents, families, and other mental health professionals, agencies, and organizations so to support the optimal development and well-being of young people in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond.
